This photo was taken from the side of the house, which sits up on a bit of a hill. You can see it's shaded -- this is where we sit to take a break or watch the horses eat. Next time I'm out taking photos I'll try to keep going to either side so you can see what else is here. My trailer is parked to the right of the scene in the photo, about fifteen feet east of the dumpster. That's Poco and Rio in the lower arena, and Shakespear and Red in the far paddock.
Another view, moving southwards. You can see Jigsaw in her pen, and Kelly in hers -- both with their little tents! That's the upper arena to the left. The red building belongs to the house next door, unfortunately (the farm is only about 3 acres total).
Here I was trying to capture a beautiful violet sunset, but this is about the best I could expect with a cheapy camera! That's Bentlea (the dog) checking things out. Looks kinda like there's snow on the ground, but not yet! Though we did have quite a hail storm a few weeks ago. We watched as Kelly and Jigsaw stood with their butts to the wind, wincing as the hail stones struck (presumably they wouldn't go into their tents b/c of the noise). Silly horses...
